He's just jealous.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Spiders and insects in general except for regular flies, ants, and lady bugs. I think I am only fine with them because I've dealt with them in my houses for so long. I really don't like snakes or most wild animals in general. I am also mildly claustrophobic. I remember when I was a little kid I got my head stuck after sticking it between the boards on the side of our deck, which was pretty tall, to look down. So I think that might play a role in my claustrophobia. But it is pretty mild, I don't really panic like some people I know, I just feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Man, looks like freak-outs over spiders are really common.

That goes for me too. The same for frogs and toads (except when they are really, really small).

Edit: here's a nice list of phobias.

I've got these too: Homilophobia and Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.

I'm also hugely homophobic as in the fear of monotony.

Phobias are irrational fears, right? So my rational fear of spiders, snakes and heights is not a phobia :)

Odontarrupophobia - fear of toothbrushes. no idea why, everytime I see them a shiver goes down my spine.....

and bees/wasps. bumblebees are fine, not keen on moths as they have a genetic predisposition to fly at your face, but they dont bother me too much. but bees/wasps have me doing stunts worthy of the matrix to get out of the room.

But they sting! Surely not an irrational fear.

as far as I'm aware I'm not allergic, and TBH doesn't hurt that much. but the little buggers creep me out.. worst job I ever had was in a kitchen - there was a bees nest just over the back door.....

but unlike some people I cant kill them either, so spend far too much time encouraging them out the window with a broom,

I hate those holes in skin things. Not a phobia, it looks like they have a disease...I don't want that shit!

Clusters of other holes are fine. Dirty diseased hobos. :snooty:

Oh Jesus I feel ill. Apparently that's the same as my phobia of clusters of things.

Wikipedia wrote:Trypophobia, fear or anxiety from the sight of certain regular patterns or clusters of holes and other geometrical objects like lotus seed pods, honeycombs, scales, etc.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,

The big three with me are arachnophobia (spiders), Claustrophobia (small spaces), and acrophobia (heights).
I think there is an evolutionary explanation for arachnophobia, because there may have been poisonous spiders around
to torment our ancestors. I have tried to pick up & play with spiders in order to get over my phobia, but that only gave me more jitters. They're just the ugliest looking things natural selection has ever come up with. My claustrophobia isn't bad
unless someone locks me in a locker at school (I'm not in school any more anyway). Acrophobia can be fun because I get a
light feeling in my stomach which is like being on a fast elevator. I used to be afraid to perform in front of an audience, but now I know that most people aren't any more clever or talented than me.

I have a fear of breaking my toenails, especially from underneath.

I've always had this insane paranoia about something coming up out of the ground and crashing into the bottom of my toenails (even though I always keep them short), or getting lodged underneath them. When I'm in a car I always try to position my feet in a way that my toenails won't get hurt, or I curl my toes under my feet so that if something does come up out of the ground intent on hurting my toenails at least it won't get them from underneath. I won't get a pedicure or let anyone touch my feet.

If you ever need to get information from me using torture, just come at my big toe with some nail clippers.

Okay time to stop talking about this, getting nervous...do I win the prize for weirdest phobia?

I posted a thread on RDF and this site too. It's titled "Fear", and it's in the social, fun, etc, sub-forum... or possibly the general discussion forum.
When the computer's not going so slow, I'll search for it.
