No time at all. I've always been a natural at using my left hand for driving any equipment with exceptional precision including a car however I can't throw a ball or write or shoot a gun with my left hand.
Cross-dominance sounds about right.

I'm left handed in hockey however a quality wrist shot is dependent on the right hand or equality both if I remember correctly. Definitely not solely the left hand with a left hockey stick.
I feel that there is more to cross dominance. A different thinking pattern than the norm.

For example, most people shuffle cards with one hand and then deal with the same hand. I shuffle right handed and then swap the cards over and deal left handed. Strangely, my sister is the opposite. I also take tops off jars etc left handed and used to long jump off my left leg. Everything else I do right handed.
What does that say about my psychology?

My wife was taught by nuns and left handers we evil. Still today she has problems with left and right. Btw she writes left handed.
The strange thing seeing her working in the kitchen makes me feel uncomfortable and the reverse is true.

What if there is more thought patterns than everyone believes? Therefore it isn't as simplistic as it seems. Would it still be a myth?
I've observed my thought patterns and they deviate from the norm extremely.
School today is worse. There is no discipline; therefore spoiled brat kids walk all over teachers and bully other students. We have all these oversensitive parasite mothers living in la la land on how kids should be raised.
We need a balance of the past and the present.

So much wrong here it's hard to say where to start...but....
first you are speculating bs about 'thought patterns' -- these sorts of things are studied scientifically. I suggest you do some reading if you seriously want to discuss it. Google is your friend.
"I've observed my thought patterns and..." -- well if your observation is deviated then you may be deceiving yourself.
