For most people in my local culture I think pretty much homophobia means "repressed (90ish % buried in the unconscious) homosexual attraction" - I do not currently think repressed homosexuality actually exists in that sense. Well done Sigmund first the Oedipus Complex and then repressed homosexuality....so mush suffering...trouble.

I wonder if any of this lot experience fears they might have repressed homosexual attraction?

They're certainly very aggressive/anxious (particularly that second MC) like the homophobic men in the penile circumference test....perhaps aggressive behaviour is a recognised heterosexual male stereotype which some people cling to and rep in order to reassure themselves of their heterosexuality...blimey I wonder how much violence this has really caused.....off to the naughty step with you Sigmund :naughty:

But not everyone realises their orientation in their teens
Some men have wives and children before they come out as gay. Whether they are repressing their sexuality I cannot say
Though repressing aspects of ones psyche is something that can be done where said aspect for whatever reason cannot be tolerated by the conscious mind though it can cause more trauma and so therapy would be a better option than repression

Or perhaps strictly technical bisexuality (I, for instance, really couldn't get it up with a man IMO....hope that doesn't breach the FUA : /) or there's also the vertiginous homophobic collapse explanation (if psychogenesis can cause this I'm pretty fucking certain it can cause this). Who needs a therapist to cause iatrogenic thoughts/fears of repressed homosexuality when kids are getting accused (sic) of being gay in the primary school playground? Perhaps it needn't even be a vertiginous fear once the iatrogenic seed is planted....perhaps people simply make a concrete decision/leap/effect sometimes...if they obsess about it...come on KIR people obsessing about sex? Pull the other one.

SafeAsMilk wrote:But I've no doubt there are plenty of homophobic people out there for whom their heterosexuality isn't in question. They just find gay sex repulsive, which isn't surprising because they're heterosexual.

Who could be repulsed by it if he wasn't obsessing about it enough to imagine experiencing gay sex in graphic detail? On the other hand, people do sometimes engage in sexual fantasies that they'd never want to experience in the flesh. Or would they? Oh, questions, questions! Like wondering whether, if he wasn't actually repulsed by it, he really might tick on the bisexuality index, or whatever it is. The point is, he's pondering his sexuality. Doing that with a level head is not abnormal, is it? Trying to validate a theory about it is for the professionals, I'd say. When somebody has an issue, that's what he has. Lots of issues we just have to let slide by if we're not the one with the issue.

Then again all that violent psychology in the grime video could purely be down to ego supremacy competition. If only it were physics things would me so much simpler (can't do the math tho still lol). Player hating :naughty2:

I'm heterophobic. Those people are disgusting. They try to take over the world, legislate our rights away, eradicate us, and teach our survivors to hate ourselves...and worst of all, they try to do all this in fucking cargo shorts.

I'm not trying to take over the world. I'm just trying to help improve things. How anybody can object to that is beyond me. I'm homophobic ( ;) ) Because Freddy Mercury got aids.

Your.

That sums it up nicely.

Correct I don't give much of a fuck about spelling. Never have; never will. As long as the semantics are preserved who really gives a fuck? Are you seriously suggesting you think I'm stupid? SERIOUSLY!?
There are spelling errors, and there are spelling errors.

When you write:

"You're only hope is to get over yourself..."

my brain is reading

"You're only hoping to get over yourself..."

because I'm anticipating a particular sentence diagram based on the opening "you're." The conflict hits me, and I have to go back and read the sentence from the beginning.

These are called "garden path sentences." They appear all the time in shitty writing, and they make the writing shitty by tripping up the reader. That's why readers, with whom I'd hope you care about communicating, give a fuck.

EDIT: Grammar

Wasn't aware of that problem cuz....SAM was right when he said I wasn't paying sufficient attention to my presentation; and what you've said reinforces that heavily. I'll try to do better in future.

It seems understandable to me.

Homophobes always say they are not homophobes and then they proclaim on the subject and contradict themselves.

Here's a dead give-away to bigotry: Cite Darwin to posit an apologetic for a bigoted view point.
