Want to become a nueroscientist

So I was curious about what to major in if I ultimately want to become a nueroscientist. I know I can't get a bachelor's degree in neuroscience so what would be the proper path. Would it make sense to get a degree in psychology first?

A PhDs in clinical psychology, with a specialty in neurology would be one way. Another is becoming a medical doctor, and specializing in medical neurology. I have worked with both, and medical neurologists tend to treat brain injuries and seizure disorders, and the psychology pathway tends to be psychological testing or research. This is oversimplified, but plan to spend nearly a decade or more on your education. Its a very complicated field. Im a psych nurse, and have taken a few courses in the area, and read quite a few books, and it's an incredible amount of information to be competent at. I barely have a functional knowledge of the brain, just enough to not get totally lost, and know what I have to look up to follow the ideas of those who are competent in the field.
We should probably go for a can of vegetables because not only would it be a huge improvement, you'd also be able to eat it at the end.
