Thich Nhat Hanh appears to be slipping away

He has been a great teacher and inspiration to me through his words and books.

Most recent news:

Plum Village has put out another update on Thay’s health today. It is brief and reproduced in full here:
Official Announcement
Re: Thay’s current condition
Plum Village, 22 November, 2014
To all Plum Village Practice Centers,
To all Practice Centers and Sanghas World Wide,
To our Dear Beloved Friends,
The doctors have expressed surprise at Thay’s resilience and stability over the last week, as the intensive treatment continues. Thay’s blood pressure and pulse are stable, he is still breathing on his own, and he is becoming increasingly peaceful. However, in recent days Thay has been sleeping more deeply and communicating less.

That's very sad news. I haven't read much of his work, but what little I have I've really liked. Also Jon Kabat-Zinn was a student of his and speaks very highly of him -- and I have a hell of a lot of respect for Kabat-Zinn, whose own books have been a tremendous help to me. A lot of the ideas came directly from Nhat Hanh.
