http://www.aeaweb.org/articles.php?doi= ... er.101.1.1Where is the economics board?
Anyway for the 100th annivesary the AEA is publishing a list of their top 20 articles with access and a brief description.
I have only read a few so far. Some of them are a bit technical for my understanding others are a bit heavy on the math since so far I haven't been able to take the necessary ones in uni.
Others such as Kenneth Arrow's paper on health care markets aren't too bad.
