Dr. Dre's "Bitches Ain't Shit" always seems appropriate in a TMB thread.

Do you guys want me to bring Irigaray into this? I can bring Irigaray into this. I can make this about the patriarchal killing fields of the phallocentric imaginary.

Go on.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

There's no need for that.

What's needed is a female symbolic and a female imaginary that encultures genuine sexual difference against the parameters of patriarchal discourse that confine women to a less than complementary role of the sexual lesser rather than a sexual other.

You mean we need to find a sympathetic, not to mention logical and rational, way to understand the essentiality of woman as a disparate entity, in total opposition to the traditional role she occupies in the minds of others as a defective man?

But... but.... that's heresy, I tell you! Heresy!

But where, oh where, is TMB?

Does he have no comment whatsoever to make upon the foregoing?

I find this hard to believe, given his former garrulosity.

This is part of the cycle. He appears from nowhere, drops the same recycled turd, defends it rigorously if ineptly for a couple of weeks, gradually starts to drift off with the lengthy replies but pops up occasionally to share a bitchy one-liner or two, then disappears, often when he's painted himself into a corner or someone's posted evidence he can't refute. Rinse, repeat.

You know that whole "rinse repeat" thing was invented by the shampoo companies to sell you more shampoo, don't you? One cycle is sufficient, unless you're a filthy, greasy freak.
