Male Directed AKA anti-male Sexism

#1  Postby Gallstones » Jul 12, 2011 6:37 am

I read an allegation that it's impossible to have a serious conversation about the sexism men suffer without said thread being taken over by women.

Let's see if the allegation is true.

I genuinely want to understand. If the male members will oblige, I would like to hear their stories, examples of male directed sexism.

But, this thread was started by a woman. They already all over us. :ill: I am scared! The world is coming to an end! :(

hasn't the disclosure of the purpose of this thread invalidated the purpose of this thread?
As I pointed the gun at the baby, I decided to add to the dramatic atmosphere.

Male directed sexism is similar to Nazi Germany (Godwin).

Thus far, and the sample size is too small to get any useful information from it, the only persons not taking the conversation seriously are men. :eh:

Probably.
Now try to get beyond that.

Sorry I honestly can't recall one that has ever happened to me. Really sorry about that, I feel like I am letting the thread down.

There is one issue that always does spring to mind on this though - the issue of the relative rights of mothers and fathers in custody debate. But I don't have any direct experience, although I have heard horror stories.

Good start though. Some idea might spark later.

If there is cultural sexism of women, then there has to also be cultural sexism of men.

But, i agree that it is a minor issue, when it comes to females hunting for sex and disregarding men's feelings.

Being accused of objectifying women as just sexual objects when all you did was ask them out for a drink, or to go on a date. That's sexist - it assumes that all men just want one thing.
Science is the worst form of inquiry into reality, except all the others that have been tried.

I've been told by some women that because I sometimes sit down on the toilet when I take a piss, instead of standing up, I'm not a "real man". I've also been told that I sometimes have a not sufficiently manly way of sitting on a chair. Stuff like that happens once in a while, not that it bothers me much.

About 10 years ago, I was really really drunk at a party, this girl who was also quite drunk, seduced me(by, among other things, showing me her tits and dragging me in someone else's bed, all of which was entirely okay with me, of course  ).
The next morning, other girls accused me of taking advantage of her(not like accused of rape, but accused of just wanting to have sex and then not caring about her), despite them not haven been present at the circumstances that lead to it. That is one of the worse examples that pissed me off for a long time, because it was automatically assumed that I was the "guilty" one. Obviosly I don't think any of us were "guilty" of anything.

Last year a girl showed a little interest in me, but i didn't do anything. And than she said to me and another guy: aren't men supposed to fight over a woman. And than i answered: yes. And i didn't make a move on her.

May I ask though, how is it that they know how you pee?

Why did this happen, have any idea?
In ten years since, has it happened again?

If I have sexist ideas and I am behaviorally sexist I need to know what that is. I can't stop if I don't know what I am to stop doing.
So tell me, what my sexist thoughts are and what behaviors I do that are sexist please.

Consider "I" to be the general first person "I", and not necessarily me, myself and I.

That's ridiculous. I almost always sit down. It's the cleanest way to do it, especially if you're tall.

 Maybe the noticed the seat was down when he left the toilet? ;)
