Imagining an "overtly obvious similarity" is rather revealing of the person who does the imagining. I, for one, cannot see the remotest connection between copulation and "shooting, stabbing, punching through, ripping out somebody's heart etc ad inf." Not even on the odd occasion when a hymen gets broken in the process.

i'm pretty sure 8 years on RatSkep gives you much more expertise in wibble that a little degree. Just sayin'.

Not the remotest connection? I don't believe you. Take a glance at the name of that record label again and tell me there is no semantic shared ground.

Keep It Real wrote:"Uncomfortable before lunch" psycho-sexual explanation for those violent monkey men:

Interesting, and I don't doubt there are rich psychological connections between killing (especially by stabbing) and sexual penetration by males.

I'm not sure how it would help explain male violence though?

But very interesting nonetheless.

Because of the social construct, and what they see on TV.

The social construct. Hmm. I see.

Maybe. But what about before TV, almost all of human history in other words? And what about chimps?

Cruel words are violence. Chimp babies are wonderful; older chimps are nasty. You may see parallels, here.

I'm kind of partial to the SoCal construct. I spent 15 years in Santa Barbara, which does not have a violent, low-rent district. The low-rent districts for Santa Barbara are Lompoc and Ventura.
