A real tongtwister

#1  Postby Thomas Eshuis » May 25, 2014 8:51 am

Not to sure about the "90% of people ..." claim, but it's a hell of a poem.

"Respect for personal beliefs = "I am going to tell you all what I think of YOU, but don't dare retort and tell what you think of ME because...it's my personal belief". Hmm. A bully's charter and no mistake."

I might just be one of the 10% then, although I'm never too sure about Terpsicore, I always want to say Terp - si - cor even though I know it's Terp - si - cor - ee.

But then I'm cheating, because I'm pretty good at Engrish... and I spent two years teaching my dyslexic son to read with the help of Toe-by-Toe and similar looking word exercises to that poem, although I've not seen that version before.

Btw, Thomas, it should be tongue twister....

Ah, that's a relief: I was looking at our straightening tongs and wondering how that worked.

I think along those lines all the time. That's why I never get any work done.

As for the poem, I read it perfectly, first time, no problem. I rock.
