Anyone read this book on the history of nuclear physics that lead to the atomic bomb?
I'm about a quarter of the way through it. I knew about Rutherford but I wasn't aware of just how many famous people in physics either studies under him or worked with him. It was like the golden age of science when everyone was innocent enough to believe that all countries could work together oh crap Hitler.
It's mentioned the Australian Oliphant a couple of times in passing and I'm hoping it'll have more on him, being Australian and all.
