There are Christians here. There are Christians everywhere on the planet. Mormons are quite pushy and into expansion here. You have to avoid eye contact with them. But, Christianity is never part of the national dialogue. Too fringe.

That's both very interesting and very well drawn!

And I like the Krampus. I wasn't aware of that particular Christmas legend until I saw your post, whereupon I 'Wiki'd' the word "Krampus". I'm inspired to draw one. If it works out well, I'll post it here.

Has anyone tried drawing/painting on a tablet (I got one for christmas)? If so; what, how, where etc?

Oh yes. I wish I was as compulsive an artist as him. He just sucks in the world around him and spits it out as art.

I've yet to try drawing on a tablet computer. I have used a graphics tablet connected to a standard PC... with the stylus replicating the hand movements on the PC's monitor screen. I'd almost certainly find the tablet computer to be preferable, because the drawing surface is not detached from the screen. That is, the pixels are "painted" at the point where stylus meets screen... just like pencil, pen or brush on paper.

Many digital artists work entirely in the "virtual" medium and do so very successfully. Others combine "traditional" input with digital... for example, they'll do an outline drawing in pencil on paper, then scan it into the computer. They'll set that scanned image as a background layer in Photoshop (or other bitmap editor) and use a graphics tablet to "paint" on separate layers. Most of the digital artists featured at ImagineFX seem to favor this "mixed" approach of traditional and digital. That said, many of them produce topnotch work entirely in the digital medium.

Try out your tablet PC as a canvas, THWOTH, and post the results here!

I will. I've installed some free and trail apps and am giving it a go. The idea of being able to zoom in a page is very appealing to me, as my visual acuity is pretty poor.
