While I can appreciate some modern art, I'm too much of a traditionalist to appreciate the often pseudo-intellectual exercises by people who couldn't paint a flower if their lives depended on it. To quote Banksy: "All artists are prepared to suffer for their work, but why are so few prepared to learn to draw?" It is the same with "art music"; it is intended for a small clique who can feel exclusive and that they "get it", in contrast to the great unwashed masses who like music one can enjoy.
