New Book Defends Agnosticism...

#1  Postby Katherine » Mar 06, 2010 9:58 pm

Here's the latest one due for release soon:

This one's called 'The Errors of Atheism', by a chap called J. Angelo Corlett:

Another one to have fun debunking and yet, we atheists don't really get away scot-free. The book is a defence of agnosticism and a criticism of both atheism and theism.

I wouldn't be so quick to call it 'anti-atheism'. That's awfully strong. The book you referenced supports agnosticism.

Sorry - was called away mid-edit! See above for new version.

I think, based on what's been said so far (admittedly very little, but I have a sensitive nose for these things), that this is just one long misunderstanding of agnosticism and atheism. The author seems to treat agnosticism - as so many, many people do, true, but that doesn't make it right - as a half-way, fence-sitting stance exactly in between theism and atheism. Which I'd hope we all know, if we've been paying attention so far, it isn't.

Shaker - surely you're not playing the 'No True Atheist' card?
