Spooky coincidences in my media library...

#1  Postby j.mills » Jun 13, 2011 9:52 pm

Having bunged a huge new hard drive in my PC, I've been stuffing my media library with my CDs. Unholy phenomena arise! :o Observe how, below, Ravi Shankar & Philip Glass face each other on one album cover, and then each of the next two albums features a weird head, the pair of them facing away from each other!

See how Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls has the right side of her face truncated - as does Don Henley on the next album along!

Note the grotesque eyes of David Bowie staring to our left, and the grotesque eyes on the adjacent Blue Oyster Cult album staring to our right! :?

There is grandeur in this view of life
Where one becomes many through struggle and strife,
But the Mother of Mysteries is another man's call:
Why is there something 'stead of nothing at all?

Not convinced? Still think there's a natural, rational explanation for all this? All right then, how do you explain THIS?!

I'm more spooked by the fact you've got Cutting Crew on there, and not only that, they are in close proximity to the sainted Kirsty!
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Cutting Crew are one of the most underrated bands in history. I would now return to topic, but there isn't one really, as Mr Animavore has divined...

Ok - yes, that is very scary indeed. Also, I have noticed that on many of the album covers, figures appear! Not just on a couple either, but on large numbers there are people!! How do you explain that??

Ok. Ok... This is going to blow your mind....

Despite all those albums you have you do not have one album I have and I've loads too. Those odds are IMPOSSIBLE!

I need to lie down.

 In all fairness, Falli, I think Ani's is the greater claim.

Oh fine, my alarming coincidences not good enough for you eh? Oh, oh, oh, mister 'igh an' mighty...WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN', MY LAD! The next time some maniac comes at you with a copy of Slippery When Wet, don't come cryin' to me!

The odds were greatly reduced due to the fact that I will not allow a Bon Jovi record to cross the threshold...I am even thinking of having that written into my will...no Bon Jovi records to come within 15 feet of where I used to live until the end of time.

You have everything arranged alphabetically by album title, not artist. Mental!!1

I noticed that! It's because j.mills is a lovable eccentric

PS I have precisely none of those albums.

The alphabeticalisationalism is the media player's preference, not mine. If it was up to me, then naturally I would order them according to the reverse spelling of the sound engineer's second child's middle name, so I could actually find things.

Still, I will settle for "lovable eccentric".
