A lot of Americans are complaining that costumes are being banned during screenings of Joker over safety fears and I'm just sitting here thinking, Americans go to the movie theatre in costume?

I've only ever seen people dressed up for things like cult classics. Maybe Star Wars when it's been a long time between movies (i.e. Phantom Menace, Force Awakens). But I can't figure out who is that into DC movies that they'd want to dress up.

:this: reminds me of Descent (2005) but with worse acting. Also incidentally of a couple of short stories I heard recently on the Pseudopod podcast: "He Dies Where I Die" by Michael H. Cohen, and "A Strange Heart, Set In Feldspar" by Maria Haskins.

I'm sure also there's a long tradition of movies set in abandoned mines, but my scope is limited.

It just occurred to me that most movies arrive before I can anticipate them.

Glad to see Adam Sandler in another serious role. Looks good.

Intriguing... Maybe a director does exist that makes Sandler not suck. A lot of other elements in that clip work, too. Has potential.

Looks like it could be good but I feel like they gave away too much in the trailer.

I hope it does well as I would like to see the Dark Universe be given another shot after The Mummy debacle.

I love unlikely true stories and this one is well cast.
