I ended up getting this for my 360...and I love it. The guns, oh my the guns, they look so awesome and that is all I need. So far I have been playing as Maya and really liking it. Though after seeing the Gunzerker has a skill called Sexual Tyrannosaurus I want to play as him as well now, just like the loading screen told me I would.

If anyone wants to play around with me my 360 name is Danjess86.

I got an orange weapon yesterday. Extremely powerful grenades which drop baby grenades and have a "x2 awesome bonus" added. I don't even know what that means. All I know is the explosion is far more mighty than the normal grenades of a similar type (forget the name) and covers a stupidly wide area. Don't stand too close!

:awesome:

Though I still prefer the Bouncing Betty grenades which spit bullets as they bounce around. Now if I could get an orange version of them that would be sweet.

I haven't found a sticky grenade yet, they were my favourites in Borderlands, I was really good at sticking them right on the middle guy so he blew up his mates.

The new Slag damage type thing is rather cool, though it only comes into play on harder enemies for me at the moment. But extra damage is nice, I had a pistol with slag on it that I used to weaken the enemy before switching over to something else once I find another good one of that it will be taking my fourth gun slot. (I got rid of it due to wanting to try out a revolver and forgetting not to sell it, I didn't notice till I could no longer buy it back.)

You seem to get Golden Keys from the Shift thingy, signing up gave me one and entering a code they gave away on Twitter got me another. So far the codes are being given out to stress test the system so how they are really going to be given out afterwards I am unsure. I am saving my two for a higher level since the game told me they are leveled. I want the best loots.

I didn't have much time for playing last week so I remain a lowly level 19-ish Siren. I haven't used the Shift golden key yet - I'm also waiting to level up a bit more before using it.

Seems to be at the lower levels (I'm level 24 atm). Purple appears to be a modifier on loot that makes it do funky stuff so you can get them from anywhere. Orange are sometimes quest rewards and sometimes just random drops.

However, there's one great way to "force" better loot.

Step 1: Find a Goliath (or preferably a few of them)
Step 2: Blow their heads off
Step 3: Sit back & laugh as they murder all of their team mates and level up
Step 4: Once the victor emerges, if you had enough enemies, it will be a GOD-liath and will drop quite a bit of great loot

Drops are kinda leveled, you aren't likely to get Orange very much on a first play through however on a second playthrough the chance goes up. As does adding other people to your game, the harder it is the more loot and better loot you get. At least that is how Borderlands 1 did it.

I can't remember right but I think there was even Pearl in Borderlands 1, that was some of the best stuff but you had to be close to your 5th playthrough for it to drop. I might be wrong though.

Level 41 Cataclysm/Motion, Merciful Nurse Maya badassed to bits and owning this game like I purchased it.

From what I've read when you hit 50 all your enemies hit 50 also in all areas and weapons scale so skip the side missions 'til you've reached 50 for top loot. That means don't even go near them, don't go to those little exclamation marks, leave 'em there. Once opened they'll be at the level you opened them at.

Whoa! Things get pretty hairy in Playthrough 2 as you reach level 42. Just played some multiplayer earlier with a full house and we got through levels by the skin of our teeth. I've never done so many revives/second winds in all my Borderlands playing life.

I love it!

Moxxi actually gives out two weapons and it seems to be a random amount of money tipped, I got one at $10,000 I still haven't gotten the second but my mate has.

The weapon will be set at your level. Mine is at level 44 and it kills with impunity. Just the thing for end game. I must get the second one a few levels up.

I wonder if after selling the weapon on and having leveled some if she would give you the same gun again...perhaps on a new playthrough she would.

So close to the infamous Pl2.5. I just finished a mission on 46, almost 47. I'll press on tomorrow with the next mission. I should move up another two in that mission as it's set at 47 so the baddies will be 47-9. I've left all the side missions, well except the ones other players opened on me ( :nono: I had to kick them), so I can come back and do them all at level 50 to harvest serious loot for use in future DLC I hope :)

I got another gun off Moxxi too. A fiery SMG. It kicks ass!
