Borderlands 2.

You know it needs its own thread. Popularity and expectation are running high.

That y-front moistening vid again.

Anyone else getting the PS3 version? Need friendly co-ops.

17 days to go. First day purchase for me.

I am going to get this game, but sadly after a few splurges on other pricey games this last month it wont be at launch. I got the last Borderlands on PS3 and then later on PC and I think now that I have a gaming PC I will be getting this one on it.

Also damn you for showing that first video, I was trying so hard not to watch anything and not to get all excited...now I need a lie down.

I pre-ordered it on PC, so, I'll be on it on day-1 too.
Especially since I won't be able to move at this time, so it's the only thing I'll be able to do :)

Why can't we play cross-platforms :lay:

I guess I can find some Border Buddies on a forum somewhere. I'd take it COD dickheads won't be playing on this game?

Havin' never played this I don't even know who to start with.

How is match-making? Does it put you with people of different classes or could you end up on teams with others using the same character?

It's pretty standard stuff. You're given a list of currently running games, with info like host's level, number of players, current quest, installed DLC, etc., so you pick a host who's progress is similar to yours and join. Or you can host your own game, public or private, and you can password it if you like. There's a friends list of course. It's drop-in/drop-out co-op, so you can leave or join as you please. The host's quest log is always the active one, so you don't get credit or rewards if you've already previously completed a quest, but you can still get loot and XP. And yes, multiple people can play the same class.

This is PC version though, so PS3 might be a little different. And it's probably safe to assume there will be some changes in Borderlands 2.

If someone's trying to join your game can you look at them first before letting them join, say if you were after a particular skill set or character combination?

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I mostly played private games with friends, so I don't really remember all the ins and outs of how public games worked. It's drop-in/drop-out though, so I'm pretty sure you have no control over who joins, if you make a public game. There might be an option to kick someone if you don't want them in your game? I can't recall...

I hope so. I can't stand the thought of someone wearing the same clothes as me :snooty:

Hopefully some of the Battlefield and Killzone friends I have will be getting it.

Well, you can change colors, but that's about it. I'm glad Borderlands 2 will have more customization options.

And yeah, definitely try to get some friends to join you. Rolling with a solid, consistent crew of friends playing different classes is what really makes this game shine.

The Borderlands GOTY Edition is sold out every where but it is on PSN for download for €29.99.

I'm not sure it's worth getting at this stage with the new one just 16 days away. The new Armoured Kill map pack for Battlefield 3 is out in two days also and I'm definitely going to be playing that to the death.

Yeah, maybe it's best just to wait for 2. You don't want to risk getting Borderlands fatigue with Borderlands 2 on the horizon.

I'm hoping that they make the end of the game way better this time around. Borderlands was a really fun journey, but the ending was a letdown.
