Also, Mt Chilliad; so many hilarious ways to die.

I seem to recall whizzing off that a few times on a motorbike seeing just how far you could fall and not die.

Did anyone else beat the Triathalon in San Andreas? I seem to remember it being a grueling 20 minutes of hitting the same button over and over and over and over and over and.....

I preferred the grittier realism of GTA IV and hope that carries over but did enjoy the ridiculous touches of San Andreas. Not least of which was ending up having a Harrier jump jet parked on the roof of your suburban house!

Yep. Apparantly, it's easier if you have less muscle. There are 2 "Beat the Cock" challenges. Neither are required for 100% though.

I think this author is one of those people that wants to make every game like Skyrim.

Apparently, the trailer was released a year ago! I need another one.

Some of the ideas are good. I would like it if rival gangs were able to randomly attack you, or some random thug try it mug you. Same for more random AI characters wanting to talk to you or leading you to new quests and the like. Some of the others are kinda silly, or are really already in the game he/she just wants more of them. I don't really want kill cams for random no bodies or to the map to be wide open from the start. I like having to earn being able to go everywhere in the GTA games.

More aggressive AI and perks are good ideas. Kill cams might also be a good novelty and already exist in some small capacity since you can use the cinematic camera angle when you're driving.

5 Reasons Why Skyrim Is Better Than Grand Theft Auto

Oh look! It's the same author from the article I posted up the page a little. Just a heads-up, one of the 5 reasons is that Skyrim has DLC and GTA doesn't.....

Might release after March 2013:

Seems that guy has huge blinders on, GTA 4 did have DLC, two very good DLC in fact. Not to mention he is comparing a open world RPG to a what really amounts to a sandbox third person shooter. And perhaps he should look over at a game that came out after GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption, it has great DLC, a bigger world, alive AI (whatever that means AI is never perfect) lots of side quests and had a great story to boot. To assume that Rockstar wont have taken that same mentality along with them to GTA 5 is kinda silly.

I am always happy to admit that GTA 4 was not perfect, it was not as big as SA and lacked some of the over the top charm. Then again so did GTA 3 and each game after got bigger and better, I would suspect the same thing is going on with 4. You start with a core game a rock solid foundation to build those bigger better games from otherwise you end up with half done content and rushed content. Aiming to have too much too fast always leads to a bad game, working in steps to add all that content game by game leads to having good games along the way and an almighty beast at the end that people wont forget. SA is such a game, it has flaws but they are swiftly forgotten under the amount of content and refined gameplay it boasts.

One thing I can't stand in gaming is the elitist attitudes some people take towards their favourite games, constantly trying to show how they are better then every other game. To me it is all about enjoying the game for what it is, if it is a great game I will go back to it year after year I don't need to brag about it to other people, if they like it then it doesn't matter if they don't then they like different things in games then me and that is good too.

If its anything like last time then i'd expect the PC version next December. GTA IV was out at the end of April for the consoles and December for the PC.

PC fans of the game are screaming "Prejudice!" while us PS3 (along with Xbox360) fans are screaming "Yay!" for the spring 2013 release date.

I guess they have spent many years making GTAV, they'll release it for consoles and then on Monday morning, after recovering from their hangovers after that awesome launch party, will start to work on the port to the PC.

Don't they make the games on PCs anyway? I know they aren't really PCs but you know what I mean. Perhaps the port is for that retarded 'can only be played on a single PC only' crap that Sony and Microsoft may have on the PS4 and XBox720.

It will be written on a PC and given the XBox is essentially an old PC there should only be minor changes needed. The time can be used/needed in some cases improving the game for the PC (greater draw distances and higher resolutions may require more work on the graphics engine or better asset management for example) or ensuring its likely to work on a range of hardware. I reckon the latter could be one major reason though if it is i would like them to spend 5 minutes on the controller code and have them not assume everyones game pad on the PC is an XBox controller.

It used to be that a console manufacturer would send a truck load of cash to a developer to keep the game off of a rival platform for 6 months to help drive their sales. Thats less likely here given its out at the same time on multiple formats.

Due to super storm Sandy the trailer for GTA5 won't be released til next week. A couple of promotional artworks have been posted over at IGN so my guess is they will be the loading screens.

Rockstar Games revealed the official release date for Grand Theft Auto V. The open-world crime game will hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 in September, making it one of the first big releases of the holiday season.

WHAT?!?!

They said the Spring! September isn't the Spring! Oh well, I guess that means I can spend the cash I was saving up to buy it on another game.
