This game just has the most in-depth and best in-game journal I've ever seen. I mean.. most of these RPGs do but Ni No's is a thing of beauty. I usually don't bother reading these things but Ni No's has such wonderful presentation and illustration I can't help but read it. It makes me wish I forked out for the Wizard's Edition and had a hard copy of it.

There is so much depth and so much to love in this game if you have a PS3 I urge you to get it. If you don't - fucking rip it and get a PS3 emulator or something.

Looks like I need to give it another try!

Honestly, the demo didn't do it justice.

This game needs a bigger audience

I just spent a whole day gambling in an undead casino.

Didn't start the casino yet. By I did pretty much everything else possible in the game I'm allowed to (just finish all the side quests of Perdida). I really love this game, except for fights. Taming is too random, the IA settings are shit. You can set a teammate on "healing only", and he/she will cast offensive spells anyway, or buffs, and be out of mana in 2 fights.
But appart from that, great game. I love the relationship between Esther and Swaine :)

And by the way, AMAZING translation to french. I've never seen such a good translation in a game, ever.

I'm only about 10 hours in, but very much enjoying it. I still think the whole battle clock thing is completely pointless, and the AI is frustratingly bad. It is a very beautiful game tho, and the story has some great heart to it despite being incredibly generic. Part of the thing I'm appreciating is that it makes me nostalgic for Dragon Quest 8, which makes sense since that was also done by Level 5.

Indeed, the similarity between the 2 games is obvious, including the glue/toko mobs to level up

OMG I love this game. I picked it up yesterday from Gamestop for like $10 used for the Nintendo DS and I cannot put it down. o.O It is like a Japanese anime is being played within my very hands. So glad I checked this thread out and found out about the game. Thanks Amnivore!!!!

I don't know since I don't know what all of them are :P Only downside is, I am forced to read and listen to Japanese (not a major problem, but I sometimes forget what words mean and then get confused at parts) since there is no English version of the DS game.
