It's a shame because I can't think of anything I actually want on the sale. Any recommendations?

I loved Bioshock:Infinite, Dishonored, The Walking Dead and Hotline Miami this year along with too much DayZ. Anything I'm missing out on? I'd like a really good adventure to get my teeth into.

Can't help you there, I'm afraid.

Me, I'm waiting for Crusader Kings 2 (with DLC), Brütal Legends and a couple of other, smaller games to come on sale. That should come to about 20€, which leaves me with around another 20 or so I've set aside for purchases to be made on a whim and then not played until next year. :)

Actually, I can help you. Grab the incredible Bastion, if you don't have it already. It's 85% off right now. That's what I call an adventure.

I'll go as far as saying that anyone who doesn't grab Bastion at that price is a damned fool.

Got myself Hotline Miami.
Sadly missed Dark Souls. Somehow I didn't peg that it was on a Flash sale and not a Daily. Still, I'm sure it'll come back.

So far:

Hotline Miami - 2.12€

Total: 2.12€

I've got what I want already, which will make this the first time I won't buy anything in a Steam Sale.

Probably won't buy anything until GTAV, and then the PS4. My wallet has a look of relief on it.

Yeah, it was more of a rhetorical question. I read the FAQ, it's just that I don't get why you'd bother for a couple of emoticons and profile backgrounds.

Oh sorry!

I don't really go in for that cosmetic fluff either, but I hear XBOX does a roaring trade in "cosmetic" accessories for dashboard avatars and the like.

Unwise to buy the stuff while it isn't on a Daily, Flash or Community Vote deal.

It's what happens at those sales.

Aaaaaanyway, I just read somewhere that there might be coupons involved with that trading card thingy. Even if not, I suppose we can do a bit of meta-gaming while we're at it, can we not?

So, who has some cards, who wants some cards and so on?

Also, TB is doing his salebox again.

Remember the Steam Sale rules:
Buy games only if ...
... they are on a Daily Deal
... they are on a Flash Deal
... they are on a Community Deal
... it's the last day of the Summer Sale (22nd)
(... you need to play it RIGHT NOW!)
If you heed these rules you won't have to kick yourself for buying a game that got even cheaper the next day.
