It looks interesting, but it reminds me of Conquest: Frontier Wars with the multiple planet things, and I'm guessing that it'll work out in the same way: either it's having one front of combat or too much to keep track of.

I love the idea of Planetary Annihilation. But minimum donation is 20$ which is a high entry bar for kickstarter and they say they need 900,000 which is an obscene goal but I hope they get there.

It's only $20 if you want a reward, you can donate $1 if you wish.

Oooh! I think I may contribute to this one.

i have fond memories of Age of Chivalry, it just felt so good playing a heavy knight going on a 10+ kill rampage with heads flying all over the place

Is it some kind of successor? I didn't watch the whole video.

It's being made by the Lead programmer and Lead artist from both Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander

Edit: Or Senior.. Or whatever, basically two guys heavily invested and involved in creating both.

Guild wars is not a free to play, because you have to pay the game in the first place. You just don't have to pay a monthly fee.
