Really enjoying this RPG with XCOM like battles. Many are comparing the story to Rimworld but I wouldn't know about that.

I love the difficulty settings are C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, G.R.R. Martin, and H.P. Lovecraft.

I'm close to finishing my third game of Fire Emblem Three Houses, so I might check this one afterwards.

Subnautica. Like Don't Starve only in 3D and underwater.
Wow! That night-shift just flew by playing this one and I haven't really gotten anywhere.

I've been addicted to Hades all weekend so far, the new game from the developers of Bastion and Transistor. I think it's their best game yet.

Somehow Guacamelee 2 takes the original up a notch. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a very worth spiritual successor to Castlevania.

I'm still playing Hades. Best roguelike/roguelite I've played in ages. Probably going to be my GOTY.

So I'm probably barking up the wrong tree here, but anybody remember Rygar for the NES? Sorta proto-metroidvania (haha) with a simple but cool power up system based on experience. Always loved this one for the grand and mysterious plot and the faceless resurrected zombie hero. Cool weapon too, a giant spiked yoyo. It looks like a shield too, but doesn't block shit in the game. Anyway, beautiful graphics, incredible soundtrack. Grab a map.

I'm finding I've come full circle of late with games. I'm playing more platformers, Metroidvanias, and other simple but fun games I would've played as a child, many with retro 8/16-bit graphics, and turning away from the big-budget, graphically intense, open-world adventure games.

I plan on playing every game (I haven't already) on this vid, as well as a couple of suggestions in the comments, in the next few months.

I finally got back into and finished Divinity: Original Sin 2.
First time I quit on the starting region, it didn't grab me.
Having now finished the game, I can say the combat is great, especially the status mechanics and the companions are fun too.
The main story, however, is dross. Filled with predictability, antagonists with plot armour/powers and while it has multiple endings, most of them barely follow from your actions and character and only one of them is outright optimistic. The latter is not bad per se, if it weren't for the fact that it went against basically everything you've been told throughout the game and required pardoning heinous crimes and people.

Looks interesting, although recent steam reviews seem to suggest the game is currently experiencing server issues and save bugs sending players back to the start of the game.

Looking at it on Twitch. It's a Diablo type game with a classless system. Quite interesting.
