If any of you guys are looking for a good strategy game Into the Breach is free on Epic this week. I have this one on Switch but I nabbed the PC version too anyway. It's from the makers of FTL which I seem to remember had something of a fan base here.

It's weird because as opposed to the Souls game I played, I don't feel frustrated with this one, I feel like I can get better. Maybe it's because levels change everytime.

More details here. Seems to have a something like Shadow of War's Nemesis system. It also has a turn-based time-based battle system, not unlike Final Fantasy 7, which is deterministic, like Into The Breach, you can see an enemies attacks on a timeline and you have to select your attacks to come in at various points on that timeline to hopefully dodge, block, counter, or interrupt parts while getting hits in yourself.

I gave the PS4 to my son for his new flat until he can afford one of his own. I’ve now been watching Sips play Fallout 4 with the Scrap Everything mod and now I want it back.

Another XCOM-like with a side serving of Valkyrie Chronicles. This one on Tuesday too.

Gah! I've too many games now. Time for another game buying freeze.

I've way too many games also, spread across 5-6 different launchers. Luckily, I'm almost never tempted to play them, i just collect them.

Ani, do you have either of these? Both well-received. I'm waiting for dirt-cheap sales.

I think the levels being (somewhat) randomized and consequently more generic makes the game more focused on the mechanics and technique than level memorization, which I find gives it a lot more replay value.

It's easier than DS for sure, and simpler. But it's also less forgiving and faster paced, which works for me.

I love watching these Ultra Nightmare, 100% completion, no glitch DOOM speedruns. The situational and map awareness and knowledge of weapons and enemies is just godly to me. I can't do anything like this. Whole campaign finished in under 2.5 hours.

I got a Sega Megadrive pack for the Switch a couple of weeks ago thinking it would be great to re-visit some old games. Instead, for the most part, I'm discovering how janky, awkward, and unresponsive a lot of these old games are.

Talk of Dark Souls made me whip out DS3 and run a campaign on night shift.

For a change up I decided to go with Pyromancer. This class just destroys everything. If there's such a thing as easy mode on DS3 it's picking Pyromancer and throwing most of your points into INT and FAITH.

Another speed run. Dark Souls, all bosses, all DLC, 0 damage recieved.

Hades is out of early access. Haven't really played it since I bought it because I decided I'd wait for full release. Looks like I'll be bringing my PS4 controller in with me to work tonight.

This game right here is just the best. Based off Advanced War.
