I think CDPR have lost their darling status.

I twiddled some settings and updated my drivers and played a few hours, I have to admit I didn't actually think it was that good, regardless of bugs, crashes and other issues.

It was alright, but the magic of the latter two Witcher games (which I still haven't played) didn't seem to be present.

The defence force for Cyberpunk on Reddit is nuts. I'm getting called straight up a liar for my gripes with the PS4 version. I wouldn't mind but I didn't really say much about the actual game beyond the bugs and said I'm happy to play when fixed. People are reading an anger in my post which simply isn't there. I'm playing other games right now too so it really doesn't bother me.

I get there are people out there really trashing the game in a hyperbolic way, but I'm not one of them. That said I don't find the defence force trying to invalidate their feelings by calling them cry babies or saying, "It's day one, what did you expect?" helpful.

Yeah, that's a shame. People aren't always their best on the internet. Still sucks to be treated that way.

It's a bit humorous too in fairness. People are straight up contradicting themselves.

They are getting issues it just doesn't seem to bother them. They're the ones lying if anything.

I'm not bothered pointing that out. I'm more about de-escalating or disconnecting these days. I find it hard to argue any more.

Funny, as soon as you got your PS5, I adopted the assumption that you weren't ever going to play PS4 versions of PS5 games... How do you decide such things? Also, what's the price difference between PS4/5 games there? (In the States it's generally $10, or ~ €8)

? It's not a PS4 version of a PS5 game. There is no PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077. Not until next year at some stage.

Anyone have recommendations for PSP games? Just found out my emulator works, which is great because I accidentally bought the Gradius collection years ago on PSN. I'm currently using it to play Class Of Heroes, a fun take on the classic Wizardry thing crossed with a high school simulator.

To narrow things down, I'm not really a fan of FPS, racing or sports games. My faves are RPG's and SHMUPs.

Persona 3

Yeah, I hear the version on PSP has a different MC you can play with some things added. The dungeon crawler part of the original game sucked though, I remember Persona 4 doing a better job of it but the characters and story sucked. I've read that Persona 3 Portable adapted some things from Persona 4, better dungeon crawling maybe?

Damn it... Cataclysm DDA has once again ensnared me. I've got a computer powerful enough to play top end games at max graphical settings, and I keep ending up playing ASCII games!

IGN, who gave Cyberpunk on PC a 9, gave the console version a 4.

An IGN 4 is like a 2 for real. Yikes.

Since I'm not playing Cyberpunk 2077 I'm just cleaning out my PS4 backlog. Quite far into The Last of Us 2 now. An amazing game.

One thing I'm really loving about TLOU2 is the personalisation of the enemy. It something I've never done before and it fits with the general theme that everyone's just trying to survive.

For instance one might call to another to flank your position, "Cassie! Get behind her."

Though it's most effective when you kill someone and another screams their name in a way you know that person meant something to them, "OH GOD! SEAN! NO!"

So many little touches like that.
