This is what I was talking about earlier:

Sony is the real winner of E3 2016, says Facebook data

With E3 more or less done and dusted for another year, Facebook has teamed up with analytics outfit Pulsar to answer that all important question: who won the conference war?

According to both firms, speaking to VentureBeat, it was Sony who walked away victorious this year, with the PlayStation creator drumming up the most interest during the week running from June 7 to June 14.

Wars, interest, feeling and connecting with. Not facts, not to inform .. what kind of world is this? I just do not understand.

In fairness they kinda were. They started off with an orchestra, which led into God of War, the orchestra, led by the GoW composer, continued playing the incidental music and the score for the demo. It was pure class. Then after that it was just game after game with almost no break. No bullshit hardware or app announcements. No devs talking selling points. Just the games speaking for themselves.

Haven't seen much of the RPG side of this yet. Seems closer to Bayonetta.

I was not saying they were not. Its was the only conference I skimmed through hence my initial reaction here. Orchestra? Get the fuck outta here .. pure class show indeed. The point is that the primary purpose, as perhaps any advertising/marketing, is to "win feelings" which I find idiotic.

edit: perhaps I am biased as I worked for VW/Audi building their stands at world car shows. You build it in a week, 2 weeks exhibition and then you destroy it with hammer in couple of days. What a waste and its not VW/Audi who pays for it, but customers in price of car they buy. Fuck that. Show me specs and tests. Fucking polished cars with pretty girls standing by them. What the fuck ..

Any thoughts on this:

I am not going to play competitive but am kind of interested how others feel about it. For example changes to Overtime.

Also, can anyone explain to me sprays, skins, poses and intros? Seems to me quite a few players do use them and I would even say like to "show off" and I do not quite understand whats that about. It does not make one better player so what does it matter? Honestly I do not really get it. When I started to play we all looked the same, from distance just like pixels, and I do not feel its more fun or more immersive or better now.

btw Lúcio OP? I have good success with him especially on some maps which tells me he's OP :) as I consider myself around average player.

So its settled, its Mercy as she speaks the language of love ;) I even got 1000 coin skin for her. See ...

Helden sterben nicht! The thing this, they die one by one instead by bunch. And if they die by bunch I die with them. Only once I was able to resurrect 4, got PotG for it, naturlich.

All I can say about Hearts of Iron 4 is that peace conferences are completely broken atm.

Symmetra is so much fun in Overwatch. At first I dismissed her as a character I probably would not like, but her little turrets, teleporter, and ray gun is amazing.

The only reason I do not play her because she seems difficult. I've seen players with her completely shut down choke points none else could. Learning Mei first. CC > damage, in a decent team anyway. That is harder to find then I was expecting.

I dont read forums about Overwatch but here .. I've seen that current meta is something like 2 tanks, 2 support and 2 offence and it seems to work well indeed. Ideas?

A solid team would be: Reinhardt/D.Va, Roadhog/Winston, Reaper/McCree/Pharrah, Hanzo/Widowmaker, Mercy/Zenyatta, Symmetra/Lucio

Then situational team combos form.

I'd consider a solid team one with two offence, two defence (one a sniper, with the caveat it's not me playing that role), one tank, and one support.

Well see I don't think Roadhog and Winston make the best tanks. They make excellent offtank bruisers, but there should still be a good tank. There also should be a heal support and an offensive support. Bastion, Junkrat and Torbjorn are in my opinion offensive supports. Symmatra and Lucio are supportive offense.

Some teams I played against, and lost, either collectively or individually changed their heroes during match, seemingly on purpose to counter our team composition and/or to achieve objective. This is another aspect of the game, counters and adjusting to match dynamics. I'd expect this to be more usual in competitive play.

Well yeah that is what makes the game awesome. I have had games where there was a really, really good Tracer who was killing our entire team, so I would switch to someone who can handle Tracer really well like Pharrah. A good player knows when to switch and what characters are best for what situation. For example, I was playing Symmatra all morning even knowing some of the maps I was playing her on was a bad choice. If I wasn't trying to get her fundamentals down and I was seriously playing competitively I would not have been using her, I would have been using Mercy or Zenyatta.

Fuck that lol I've never (wanted to) learned this technique well and luckily I do not see it much in Overwatch. Played Delta Force/2 years ago semi-competitively and there to avoid it I played M4 sniper, flanking, using terrain, hunting enemy snipers and trying to spine those fuckers.

Just played the demo of Odin Sphere for PS4. I'm buying this the second it comes out (it's already out in America).

Well, I think I had a change of heart. Mei does not speak the language of love but Chinese, which is so cool. She is also to face hero which is more fun than mostly passive Mercy. And then there is nothing like trolling team mates with ice wall. I was told to uninstall because I blocked a mate twice during prep. Tried to reason with her/him saying .. I paid for the game, wait for competitive, wont see me there .. and the only reply I got was .. stfu STFU!

Ni hao :)
