Apparently there'll be a fee to pay used games.

What way are PS4 doing it? The old fashion way, need the disc to play and can sell the disc?

afaik they haven't actually made any statements concerning second hand games. They said you will be able to install from BluRay or the internet and start playing while the download/installation is still in progress, but that's about it. So theoretically Sony could go down the same road as Mircrosoft.

Not much was said except marketing wibble. Makes one wonder if customers are indeed so hmm let me rephrase it .. if such tricks are needed to sell stuff or if those in marketing departments are hmm behind.

Anyway, the way it looks new XBOX will try to deliver what I was expecting ~ family multimedia center and if that will be so I will be happy. Kinect may be useless for some but at least our kids move while spending their time in front of TV during bad weather. Voice command and many other features, cloud for example, seem to be aimed at US market so over here it might lose some functionality.

For me, for gaming, PC is and probably will stay the king but for entertainment I might get next gen.

8 core CPU, 8 GB memory, 500 GB HDD, and HDMI is so revolutionary!

Well, my PC is instantly better already. I can stream TV, Netflix, and Skype. Oh and I don't need an Xbox Live account to do so. I win.

Even though I am not an XBox fan I wish Microsoft and the fans luck with their new console.

Just wait til the consoles have the same advantages that PCs have like being upgradable and modding communities. If or when that happens the only games that will be for PCs will be porn games since Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo don't have the guts to allow porn games on their consoles.
Disagree with an opinion just say so but don't be a dick about it.

I don't think consoles will be upgradable to the same extent. It's all proprietory, isn't it? Is it? Probably.

In the future we'll all be playing off the cloud and upgrades will be a thing of the past.

The moment Microsoft or Sony allows their consoles to be personally upgraded I will eat my hat. The moment a console is opened unprofessionally it loses warranty value and personal value.

Where as my PC with a screwdriver I can replace the graphics card, the motherboard, the coolant system, the memory cards, etc. and constantly adapt to the gaming market.
