Robert "Throb" Young
(1964/65 - 9 September 2014)
Scottish guitarist, and an early member of the British pop group Primal Scream, who he left in 2006. Young founded the band with school friend and singer Bobby Gillespie in Glasgow in 1984. They hit the heights with psych-pop album Screamadelica in 1991, which included songs like Movin' on Up and Loaded and won the first Mercury Prize.

English actor in theatre, film, television and radio, as well as an author. Achieving early fame as a Rank Organisation film star in the 1950s, he then became highly regarded as a Shakespearean and West End theatre actor and television sit-com star.

Ian Richard Kyle Paisley, Baron Bannside, PC
(6 April 1926 – 12 September 2014)
British politician and religious leader from Northern Ireland. As the leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), he and Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness were elected First Minister and deputy First Minister respectively on 8 May 2007. In addition to co-founding the DUP and leading it from 1971 to 2008, Paisley was a founding member and was Moderator for 57 years of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster. In 2005, Paisley's political party became the largest unionist party in Northern Ireland, displacing his long-term rivals, the Ulster Unionists (UUP), who had dominated unionist politics in Northern Ireland since before the partition of Ireland.
