It could well be garbage but whether the graphics are from 2004 or not is relevant to that. There are some great games with graphics 'worse' than than that.

Too clarify: the gameplay also looks garbage. Maybe that's down to the guy playing it in the YouTube video being rubbish at the game, but Scot doesn't seem to want to correct that impression by commenting in any way.

I watched it for a while and it didn't look great. The GFX wouldn't particularly bother me if it did have good gameplay though. It looks better that Dwarf Fortress.
