I find art that is widely appreciated tends to have broad metaphorical application.

By the time I saw The Matrix, for example, it had been acquired by MRA's and incels :I

I rewatched it last year after hearing about this. At that time I hadn't watched it in well over a decade, probably since I was a teenager, and could only remember it for the special-effects sci-fi fighting and the idea that we're all living in a computer simulation. But yeah, when I rewatched it with a bit more knowledge and understanding, it's so trans it's awesome.
