Still super stoked for Beyond Good and Evil 2, which has been scant on announcements over the years. Looks to be a brilliant successor-prequel to the brilliant original - maybe the only game I ever completed and fully enjoyed on PS2.

Random browsing led to something new: a July 2nd Ubisoft Montpellier job listing for a community manager to handle "community development" for Beyond Good and Evil 2 "and an unannounced game". Most commenters focus on the unannounced game, but that might be misplaced. Here's hoping this means the next stage of pre-release is around the corner.

Diablo II: Resurrected early access beta (Aug.13-17) & open beta (Aug.20-23)

FAQ confirms that existing D2 characters on Battle.net won't transfer over to D2R - only offline saves will. TCP/IP is gone.

Diablo 2: Resurrected beta was... pretty, and a reminder of the best sound effects & music in the genre. Otherwise

I don’t see the point of vanilla. Blizzard shouldn’t be rewarded for a revamp they put off for a decade to profit on Overwatch. I don’t see a community forming around it anyway, it’s just a curio.
