Hellos & Introductions

Post by metacreation »

Hello RatSkeps

I'm interested in getting more active in critical thinking and discussion so I've been looking for places to explore that and this place looks like it's worth a try.

I'm a Critical Rationalist->Classical Liberal->Objectivist->Stoic

I like math, games, programming. I'm interested in understanding the human mind and how it works, and creating AGI.

I'm currently reading Conjectures & Refutations by Karl Popper.

I'm going through some mid-life transition stuff and looking for a worthwhile direction to turn my life in.

Welcome!

Unlike many of the recent crazies that have joined here and been swiftly banned for sockpuppetry, or indulged in miscellaneous crackpottery, you sound reassuringly normal!

Falsifiable although that assumption certainly is, my Bayesian credence that you're not a complete loon is currently well over 50%.

Look forward to increasing that further :cheers:

I'll try to keep my number of loony data points to a statistically insignificant level.

Ola compadre.

If you can just drop them for me and hop up on the bench someone will be along to give you your medical and administer your shots shortly.
