He'll be letting Alex Jones back onto Shitter soon to improve the quality of discourse there. :what:

I did a brief search to learn which advertisers remain on his site, so I can send a few emails. Hard to find. I went with reddit, and it seems no advertisers I recognize.

He has the cash to keep the site afloat without them, so it probably won’t die from lack of advertising.

It was always a shithole anyway, and I deleted my account there years ago.

His new PAC is looking dodgy as fuck, surprise surprise.

https://www.popsci.com/technology/elon- ... istration/
Elon Musk announced his newest venture, AmericaPAC, shortly after publicly endorsing Donald Trump for re-election last month. Since then, FEC filings show the billionaire’s political group has already sunk millions of dollars into canvassing, digital media, text message services, and phone call efforts across swing states in support of the former president. But while the official AmericaPAC website is supposedly intended to help visitors register to vote, CNBC explained on Friday that the user experience varies depending on where you live. For some, AmericaPAC offers your state’s registration website; others, however, simply get a blank page after entering their personal information. And that could be a problem when it comes to laws prohibiting voter suppression.

I actually made my second cyber truck sighting today in a town of around 75 people. I saw it in another small town last weekend. I doubt I'll see one in the winter up here. But I'd love to see one malfunction in a centimeter of snow. :dopey: I heard at some point this summer iirc, that there was only one cyber truck owner in the state!

There's a lot to be said about the cyber truck, none of it good. Expect to see it towed at some point, probably by a Ford again.

Elon Musk sues Unilever and Mars over X 'boycott'

WTG Elon. I'm sure all those businesses will be queuing up to work with his enterprises given the risks of being sued.

I'm slightly bemused at where his money comes from given the blatant childish serial gaffs he keeps making. It's almost as if it doesn't matter what incompetent decisions you make once you have enough money.

Good grief. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse at Xitter, they get worse: Yemen weapons dealers selling machine-guns on X (BBC)

This is what happens when you remove moderation - true Libertarianism in action, Elon must be proud.

It turns out that the logical end of all that deregulation isn't just hyperbole. :goodnight:

I'll admit, for the longest time I had an interest in getting humans to Mars via Spacex, even when I was starting to come aware of some of Elon's failings. Now I can't imagine how anyone could trust him managing any Mars outpost, I don't think he's even accounted for minor details on route like cosmic radiation protection or robust life support?

Also whatever happened to that Japanese rich-dude's money and the moon fly-around?

Well this would explain a few things, including how that psychopath Chechen leader got his bloody hands on a cybertruck;

https://mastodon.social/@randahl/113019148670006872
A judge has forced Elon Musk to disclosed who helped him buy Twitter.

And to no one's stupid: Two rich Russians from Putin's inner circle were part of the deal. Their names are Petr Aven and Vadim Moshkovich.

And clearly, EU parliamentarian Guy Verhofstadt is not having it.

And another reason not to buy a cyber truck, damn things need to be recalled, again.

Gist of the post and video, this is a case of a cybertruck leaking 120V to the body [including the wheel nuts] while it is charging.

There was an incident a week or two ago, of a cybertruck hitting a fire hydrant and catching fire after damaged the battery. But yeah, wtf Elon!
