They speak pretty much like this where I have my house in Denmark.

Nogle gange kan jeg ikke forstå hvad de siger.

I once applied for a job as a mustard cutter.

But unfortunately I wasn’t quite good enough.

When my wife first came to Norway she booked a hair appointment at the "Bright Tones" hair salon. I didn't know where it was but she said it was close to the minibank we normally used. Anyway, I drove her there on the Saturday morning - to Brit Tone's frisørsalong that is.

He has a few cooking videos - I think I'd love meeting that guy, he seems just the right sort of crazy.

A Norwegian farmer told me found a dead Swedish wolf caught by the leg in one of his traps. I asked him how he knew it was a Swedish wolf. "It had chewed it's other three legs off".

Oh, can't be scaring the Swedes off - time for more Norwegian jokes.

Why are most Norwegian jokes one-liners?
So the Swedes will understand them.

Do you know why dance floors in Finland always are slanted?
So the blood will run off by itself.

[strictly not scandinavian, but close enough. Also, afaict, a Swedish joke.]
