Re: How did you find the lifeboat?
Found it through google-fu when searching for a rebuttal to a random theistic argument, as far as I can remember.
"Respect for personal beliefs = "I am going to tell you all what I think of YOU, but don't dare retort and tell what you think of ME because...it's my personal belief". Hmm. A bully's charter and no mistake."

Found it accidentally through Google ( I refuse to use 'googling' as a verb!)

Re: How did you find the lifeboat?
I've done a bit of forum-hopping over the past decade. Before that, I pretty much stuck to one, and when I got banned, found another one and when they banned me....
No, but I was suspended from Quatra Gats for sarcasm, was edited out of Democratic Underground for making fun of US politics, and flounced off Babble because I was formally reprimanded for a joke. My humour is a kind of social disability.
These days, I care about so few topics that I need several forums to find one or two conversations each day to participate in.

I voted other because I couldn't remember which of the 3 sites I was reading. One of them had a thread "What sites do you frequently visit?" Or it was linked from one them.
So it was either:
evcforums.net
atheistforum.org
Rational Response Squad
So I've been reading some threads and decided I liked what I was reading. So ready or not here I are!

many thanks! just getting my multiquote muscles re-toned - only been on disqus & kinja systems for some time... spent a few weeks reading Calilasseia's carbon radionuclide dating epic followed by the side-thread in which rodcarty roundly and metafallaciously embarrassed his position (not that my imagination can grasp making YECism look good or anything...)

Welcome all...
Ah yes, rodcarty. Epic.
Ah yes, rodcarty. Epic.
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

It wasn't easy. I was looking for a homepage for the folders, and I eventually surfed my way here. Why doesn't the Folding Web Control point here?

You make a good point. Sounds as though I got here the same way as you. Recently I was looking for another Folding team and stumbled my way to the forum. It could have been an easier process.
