Nice! Looks like Willhud will get to play The Last of Us after all.http://ie.ign.com/articles/2014/01/07/s ... tation-now
Today at CES, Sony revealed PlayStation Now, an all-new games streaming service that will allow PlayStation games to be played across various PlayStation hardware and directly on other non-gaming platforms. PlayStation Now harnesses the power of Gaikai, the company Sony purchased for $380 back in the summer of 2012.
The idea behind PlayStation Now is simple: you will no longer need to keep a PSone, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation 3 around to experience games from those consoles. PlayStation Now will allow streaming of classics from those systems to not only PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but to televisions, tablets, and smartphones.

Nice. I've been very impressed with the PS4->Vita steaming over the internet for gaming so I'm guessing Sony has their shit together with cloud gaming. Having never owned a PS2 or PS3 I'll be excited to get my hands on exclusives I missed for so many years.

Well its a form of DRM and a new revenue stream so its good for Sony and depending on prices good for end users

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming service revealed.
There's a headline on gamespot saying that only PS3 games will be streamed and PS and PS2 games will be handled by an emulator on the console itself instead. Good news if true depending on what games are available. The PS3s selection of PS2 games was/is crap.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming service revealed.
Are there plans to put retro games like the old call of duty games which aren't playable on the newer consoles on there?
Like many games, the new ones are prettier graphics wise but I don't think they play as well. Plus I loved the old maps lifted from films and series like Band of Brothers. Some of the locations were spot on too. I forget which game it was in but taking Pont du Hoc on D-Day was great. The bunker on the cliff top is mapped on the actual thing still in situ today.
It'd be great to be able to play the old games again.

The Bible is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies.

Thank you for that, I had to use a poorly written software to use my PS4 controller on my PC. Just bought the adapter, we'll see how it goes

It doesn't work natively through USB for Playstation Now? That's weird because I'm using the Remote Play app on my PC and all I had to do was plug my controller in via USB.

Maybe if you use Playstation Now, but if you just plug your controller in, and try to play a PC game, it doesn't work. There is no native pilot.

Re: Playstation Now - Streaming service revealed.
Cool idea, but RPS tells me they charge 20 dollars a month for the service, so I'm guessing it'll be 20 Euros over here. For that kind of money I can get a lot of games I can play without having to stream them and dealing with the technical problems.

I'm not 100% sure but I think installing the Remote Play app and possibly Playstation Now may include a driver for the controller allowing it to work on the PC. I say this because after I started using the Remote Play app (the official one from Sony, there's a third party app which does not support the controller) I was able to see the controller in my Gamepad/Controller settings in Windows. It's possible I was only able to do so while the app was running but certainly worth a try either way.
FWIW, I've also successfully used my Dual Shock 4 controller on my Android phone to remote play PC games via Moonlight.
