After years of trying, surgery, both mom and dad, and IVF, we've now finally become parents. At fucking last!!! I've never been this happy in my life!!
It's a boy btw, and he's as healthy as one can be. I'm ecstatic!!!
Wonderful. Congrats and be prepared for not sleeping for the foreseeable future.
Enjoy!!

Yes, everybody has warned me about a lack of sleep, so I consider myself prepared.
I don't have to work for the next 8 weeks. And more importantly, I hold myself to it that I should cherish every moment I have with my little baby. It's over before I know it.
I see every opportunity with my baby as quality time so I'll take the time whenever he needs me. His screaming is my command to cuddle and take care, so to speak...
Congratulations. I'm sure The Ghost of Mr Woodchuckles smiles down upon you.

I don't care about sleep. Never been really good at it. Besides, we decided to work in shifts, me and the lady. One day she'll be responsible, the other day I am. That way we both get to sleep...somewhat.

Some babes sleep the night through almost right away. Mine fucking didn't.

Oh man I will always remember that day. The door between the old life and the new. The discovery of a level of love and wonder that I never even knew existed.
I remember driving home from the hospital with the wee thing and thinking: "What? I'm just allowed to take this home with me?"
