I'm a bit interested in seeing if the daily doodle differs in different demesne.

I see that the Google Doodle today honors the birthday of Gauss. I think that most mathematicians would consider him the greatest of all time. However, as an electrical engineer, I'll take Euler (honored in the Google Doodle of April 15th, 2013).

But the mathematician that I would like to invite for dinner? Probably Srinivasa Ramanujan. I think that although he was as much of a genius as anyone else, I might be able to ask him a question or two and half-way understand his answer.

I saw this doodle and, knowing that Google have a rule against promoting religious figures, I straight away knew who it was.

My guess would be the priest who contributed to the discovery of The Big Bang theory. The Vatican astronomer — Don't know his name though.

Mary G. Ross - I had no idea, but gotta love her part in the founding of the Skunk Works!

In light of the reference given in the WP article (I have not read it since a subsciption is required), I find "the first known Native American female engineer" to be disheartening. I think it is a shame since others almost surely preceded her, but were truly unknown.
