What I have read so far means things are falling into place, explained very funnily and wittily (something about no real distinctions between gods and things because Capitals hadn't been invented!)
My first impression is that the true gods' time has come, and the wasted millenias with the false book gods is drawing to a close!

Obviously, as per theist thinking, something that cannot be falsified is true.
Therefore a true god is defined as immaterial, and makes his presence felt in ways that are comparable to placebo.
Does this make homeopathy god?
I've been listening to this in audiobook form, not hugely impressed I'm afraid. The tongue in cheek middleclass Greek Gods of North London tone is just way off. The book itself is probably a better read as having Fry interrupt the flow constantly with the English words that we get from the name of every God and nymph starts to grate.
i enjoyed it but the modern tone he adopts at time jarred a little too much for me...i could see what he was going for but i'm not convinced he pulled it off...personally, i was wondering if it would work better in audio form...but apparently not..
