Avengers Infinity War

Beware, this topic contains spoilers from the 18 previous movies, and will also see, in time infos on the 3rd Avengers (and probably the 4th too).

As I said already a couple times, I really can't wait for this movie, because it will end a story that lasted over 20 movies (with the last 2 Avengers), in a continuous and coherent universe, something that had never been done before.

Still, After seeing all the movies, and the trailers, there are quite a few questions.

We see Thanos, for a couple seconds, with only the purple gem on his gauntlet. Which means he gets this one first. Did he destroy Nova to get it ? Also, since the Collector seems to be on his side, why doesn't he take the red one before attacking Earth ? Maybe he was on his way there when he met the Asgardian ship. But the timing still feels weird.

We also see Thor and Loki in some kind of spaceship, probably Thanos' after their encounter in Thor Ragnarok. So how do they get to Earth from there ? And what happens to the Asgardian people ? I can't imagine they all die. Will they go to Wakanda ? Maybe it's what Okoye refers to when she says it's not what shed imagined when speaking about opening Wakanda to the world. Taking in hundreds of refugees from another planet would certainly qualify.

What is falling on Earth on the first images in the trailer ? Seems to small to be Thanos' ship.

Who is going to die ? Vision most likely, as he bears one of the stones. My money's on Stark, Thor and Loki, and Drax.

Tony Stark. That's who dies. It's the most logical choice. His death will be used to propel Spider Man's story arc and unite the rest.

I meant Stark, Captain America, Loki and Drax. I don't think Thor will die.

I just happen to be rostered off the day it comes out. My girlfriend is taking the day off and we're seeing it first thing in the morning.

Might even watch the midnight showing the previous night.

Can't see myself having time. I think only the latest ones are relevant. Avengers has only soft story arcs over many movies.

A friend of mine thinks Fury using a pager at the end for Captain Marvel is deliberate because who uses a pager any more?

We know the Captain Marvel movie is set in the 90s. What if he paged her in the past! And she's going to cause aa ripple effect to change the future?

Interesting theory. Though how would she know anything of the future on a pager message which says nothing?

I thought so too, considering she hasn't any time-altering power. Also, why didn't he call her when SHIELD was collapsing ?

I personally don't buy the paying her in the past theory 'cause that would just reset part 2. I think the modification is to beam out to space and she has a pager because the 90s was the last time he saw her. Captain Marvel features a young Fury, before the eye patch.

Not sure why he didn't page her sooner.

People actually clapped and cheered when Thor burst on to the battlefield in the cinema I went to. Never seen that before.

That bit with Peter crying when he was dying was great. Showed he was still a kid who still hasn't thought consequences through.

I was thinking about Thanos' motive. In the comics, he wants to kill everybody to please Death, because he loves her. Instead, they gave him a more contemporary background, one we can all relate to since it's one of the biggest problems humanity is facing right now. I thought that was very smart.

Saw it again today. Noticed Thor said Thanos killed half his people. Must be a second ship.
