One movie I can actually recommend is Wag the Dog. Released as a comedy in 1997, it has become topical recently. Brief synopsis: Shortly before an election, a spin-doctor and a Hollywood producer join efforts to fabricate a war in order to cover up a Presidential sex scandal.

I predict war against Liechtenstein in October 2021. Either Liechtenstein or China, depending on the throw of the dart.
