Hot on the heels of this slimy subject, we have another sighting of "blobaceous lifeform" (I didn't even know "blobaceous" is a word ), this time in Virginia:

In this case, the scientists have already informed us that it's "a very large colony of Pectinatella magnifica" (should we want to believe such pedestrian "explanation" of course ):

not scientists, boffins identified it..... el reg always refer to them as boffins.

To teh Reg's credit, they do seem to try and include a "conventional" explanation even if the articles start out a "bit" wooey.
