What effect does smoking weed have on the human body?

If someone has a family history of heart related illnesses should they smoke weed?

cannabis has a calming effect, especially the indica varieties. it's a good muscle relaxant. as such, it's possibly quite helpful to a heart. probably not so helpful for someone with bradycardia (slow heart), could slow it a wee bit too much.

It's Satan's drug! One puff from the marijuana and you're hooked! That means you're a hooker! You will sell your body for more drugs! You will kill your mother! This it ALL TRUE!

You're a lot better off if you smoke than drink.

Smoking anything's a bad idea - there are much, much safer ways of consuming things.

cannabis greenery tastes quite nice. try a small amount. chew on it. it has a peppery after-taste. finely chopped it makes a good condiment to sprinkle on food. hash can be pounded into a fine powder and used as a spice. unlike smoking a joint, the effects are slow to arrive, but deeper and longer lasting when ingested.

It makes you walk funny

To be fair, I eat babies when I don't have the munchies. I see it as a public service, as well as a tasty main course.

Have you tried cooking babies into cannabis edibles? That could be a big seller in east Asia.

Two words come to mind: Dumb and Dumber.

Sitting there high and laughing at nothing, getting the munchies and hungry for no reason, eyes get red, breath smells like pot, and driving becomes impaired BIG time.

I knew right away that states which legalized it were in for increased DUIs, lawsuits, deaths, etc.. And for what?

It affects people differently. A month ago I was at a party and partook of some for medicinal purposes. I took a weak hit. Then a second "proper" hit. 10 minutes later I'm sitting at a picnic table with my back to the table with acquaintances on either side... Suddenly, I am being roused by them. I have an ache in my neck and the back of my head hurt. I had apparently passed out... not a sleeping pass out, but a full on black out for about a minute. I used to smoke a lot when I was young, but this is the second time something like that has happened to me in the last 5 years or so. I think I'll stick to wine.

I don't find ganja relaxing or calming - makes me anxious and paranoid. Bloody horrible stuff.
