Does anyone have a transcript of the original trial?

In what way is Kent Hovind "the wrong political stripe"?

As demonstrated in the AGW thread, you refuse to honestly follow the conversation and are attempting a derail gish gallop here.

I get that you guys don't like the guy, and I could care less about him. My only point is the government's aggressiveness is out of balance with like cases. I am against political prosecutions, regardless the target.

And yet your claims of political prosecution are simple assertion, without basis or logic.

As usual.

A number of posters in this thread have said it was political, in that they called him an uncooperative tax protester as the reason why the government was going after him out of balance with others that have even greater tax problems.

Uncooperative, like destroying evidence during an investigation? If it had been a parking violation that alone would get you in trouble. You don't fuck with evidence. That is why he is in prison, along with all the other unbelievably fucking stupid shit he did during the investigation.

Kent Hovind is not in prison for his politics.
Kent Hovind is not in prison for his religion.
Kent Hovind is not in prison for not paying his taxes.

Kent Hovind is in prison for being an arrogant dumb fuck.

No such demonstration has taken place, in fact your blather about Al Sharpton is the derail here.

And I have to note that you didn't back up your assertion, you just moved on to make another. That's classic Gish-galloping. It's ironic how your complaints are basically all projection.

Got any evidence that this particular incident was politically motivated (rather than assertions of the possibility)?

Not so. There were a number of posts saying that the government going after Kent Hovind over politics, was a conspiracy theory.

I have just evidenced that this claim is untrue. That is the relevance.

Where is the evidence that Kent Hovind's prosecution was motivated either by his politics or by his religion?

So does Ray Comfort. They aren't even on the same league as the crazy shit my sleeping brain comes up with to scare the crap out of me. In reality I suspect it is all show, they know atheists aren't overly worried about their arguments but the theists they preach too love the idea of atheists being scared of the arguments. And keeping those theists happy keeps the money flowing in.

Well I can't deny that that the prospect of someone like Hovind being Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of a nuclear power gives me nightmares.

His son Eric is much higher of a pain in the butt than Kent is. Though that maybe Kents time in incarceration.
