Is it a TV show? I dunno. Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld and everyone else you could imagine. Wonderful stuff, funny and insightful.

Just finished the Carl Reiner / Mel Brooks episode, Brooks dominates the conversation as you'd expect. What a gem, this world will be a much poorer place when he's no longer around.

I really loved that one. And the Sarah Silverman one.

The Crown new season. Love Prince Phillip taking apart the religious do - nothings and supporting the trip to the moon so fervently.

Haven't watched that one yet! Lots of greats, though particularly enjoyed the Norm MacDonald episode, if for no other reason they're hanging out at Jackson Hole diner, a favorite haunt of mine :awesome: Though I swear some of the exterior shots were of the Bel Aire diner, which is also in my neighborhood.

not sure on this yet....it's in 4k and shows modern Tokyo as its film base so worth the watch for that. Subtitled if that is of concern. On Amazon Prime

Crazy wide screen - looks like a 70 mm format for some scenes. Acting is stiff...still trying to follow it....

Finally finished Dublin Murders. What did I just watch? Great English accent there though, and he managed it convincingly all the way through. But again, what did I just watch?

Mad. Some of it good, some of it I feel like I missed because it doesn’t make sense. Also a really dark atmosphere with a very light touch/suggestion of the supernatural. I think it’s the first series of a longer running story arc, so that might be why it doesn’t all make sense.

I forgot to mention, Varis is in it. With hair.

I work and watch at the same time. Shield feed stuffed up....will go back to it.. Right now bingeing on Survivor as they have a 3 month freebie.
Reading is down and audio books have slowed due to time of year ...no motorcycle for audio books. Both of those will be way up March and April as we'll be in Patagonia and the Atacama travelling. Both of us are lining up audio books and reads for the 7 weeks.

Having a bright new 4k HDR set makes watching attractive and the streaming wars are serving up lots. Disney technical quality is so good that re-visiting Marvel and Star Wars is fun ( watching with a staff ). The main streaming service died last night for reasons unknown so streamed that French Sci-fi that caught me. ( streaming to the TV from the computer eliminates the high end features...no HDR yet. )

Long nights and short cold days and I don't socialize in Canada other than with my daughter and we will do lots of iMax over the holiday but I work right through every day til January. Office TV and kitchen are all together so can even do food and drink while keeping an eye on something like Survivor. The 55" I use as the second screen when doing the flyers and web work - 2 4k monitors makes for excellent work space. But for daily stuff the TV is on media and the laptop and 27" are fine.
I keep my travel photos rolling on the 27"...both partner and I enjoy that as it brings back memories and sometimes some overlooked gems.

Very immersed in media this time of year. Travel photos also play on the Echo show but the screen is not really useful for identifying keepers...just eye candy ...random photo album.
On the bigger screen I can nuke and rename. I'll start exploring HDR on the photo end this year since the new screen can take advantage.

Clients moving into HDR - two clients have snagged the new MacPro tho not the crazy screen....eye searing that beast. So I have to stay in the hunt. The 27" 4k will morph to a 32" 4k HDR screen.....all the screens I'm working on will be up in HDR10 zone tho the MacBook Pro does not support it yet. Eye candy big time and the streaming services are upping their game as well to attract those eyes. My clients supply some of that demand for streaming media.....around it goes ...fortunately the high end TVs get cheaper and cheaper and there is a lot of content...BBC quality is outstanding for Planet Earth etc. Took them 4 years and hundreds of people to produce that. Some of it is simply breathtaking and the HDR screens notch that up in no small way.
Making of Planet Earth is a worthwhile stream to appreciate what goes into those incredible productions.

Many sources are employing Dolby Atmos HDR and that's an eye popper on a good screen. https://www.dolby.com/us/en/cinema/index.html

The audio aspect not so important for me but is for anyone doing home theatre.
