So are either you or Thomas confused about whether Bill is actually good or bad at the moment? Because I wasn't so sure after the last episode...

I think he's neither, he's being dominated, hence his actions and thoughts aren't fully under his control. Lilith defintely seems evil though.

I did feel better after that episode, because even though I was confused I felt reassured that the 'real' Bill was in there somewhere.

Stookie: "Tara, do you think gran is in heaven?"
Tara: "Well I've always considered myself to be an atheist..blah"

Wait! What? You live in a universe full of inexplicable supernatural creatures. You've been possessed by an ancient, Dionysus obsessed demon. You've seen magic and witchcraft, necromancy and resurrection. Yet you find God somehow implausible?!

That's because it's similar to Buffy...in the sense that you can forgive a lot if it's entertaining/well made. But also you just decide to suspend belief and accept the existence of vampires etc.

We don't have warp drive or transporters but we forget about that...that's acceptable suspension of disbelief. However when they start doing things like they did in ST: TNG episode "Genesis" when the crew start to de-evolve to so-called earlier stages of evolution it's too absurd for us to brush aside.

I'm just rambling...but I'm kinda glad you're still watching. It's like when you knew what was going to happen in GoT before a lot of us did... This way I get to see your reactions to some of the real shockers!

I actually really like that episode Nora... :)

Partly because one of my favorite Trek characters - Reg Barkley features in it.
We are alive, so the universe must be said to be alive. We are its consciousness as well as our own. We rise out of the cosmos and see its mesh of patterns, and it strikes us as beautiful. And that feeling is the most important thing in all the universe.

Reg is cool - he really seems to be a character who actually grows over time...

I liked it, too, MacIver. It was Gates McFadden's directorial debut, it was funny and entertaining, but afterwards all the illogicalities of it started to hit me.

Yeah, Reg was a favourite of mine as well. I loved his Voyager episodes, particularly the one where he gets in trouble using the Holodeck again. Everyone thinks it's his 'addiction' come back, but in fact he's using it to solve a problem. To me that episode ("Pathfinder") was the perfect example of the creative use of the imagination as compared to sitting around having idle daydreams...although now that I think about it I suppose random daydreams are the first start in the development of a really productive creative imagination.

I still say that the old british woman is this season's big bad. I wouldn't even be surprised if she turns out to have been that serial killer's mum.

Yep. I love how they can cast certain characters, I mean, she LOOKS evil, for fuck's sake. The first scenes with her, when she was at that meeting in the police department, her eyes screamed psycho.

Having finished watching Game of Thrones for the second time, and now suffering from a need for blood and violence, I'm watching Spartacus, Blood and Sand. I've seen the first season, this is, I think, the second one that backtracks to the beginnings. Need my fix of heads flying and people waving intimate body parts around.
