Also Kit Harrington.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.

So just finished rewatching Arrested Development again. The first time I saw the original series was before the new season 4 came out, and I found that I didn't enjoy S4 as much. Seeing the whole thing through, I still don't like S4 as much but I definitely appreciate how ambitious it is. The show was always dense, but S4 was just too much for me, it seemed like they had to narrate constantly because there was so much going on so fast. Regardless, one of the best shows ever made.

Also I'm trying to figure out why Lindsay looks so different.

watched the first on sat then d/loaded the other 2 from iplayer...considering the plot is well-known, they did a great job with it...well-acted, directed (in the most part) and not afraid to take its time on things...the 'gruesome' stuff is more in episode one...the whole thing does a very good job of presenting how very fucking mental it was here at that point in history....

The plot's not well known to non-Brits.

I think some might know the name from this:

Anyway, the TV programme does a good job of presenting the other side of that story from the bollox Britain is usually treated to (bad, deviant Catholics, trying to blow up our nice King, burn them, boooo!!) while also touching on the choices of a priest who will hunker down out of sight while others protect him and die for him.

I saw some Daily Fail commentors moaning that the show was some sort of anti-British/pro-Irish propaganda.

And I wonder how many of them who complained about the "unnecessarily graphic" public execution scene are the same who think we should "bring back hanging"?

To be frank, if that's anti-British, we could do with more anti-British TV programmes, more balance. I hear tell that in some parts, that's known as 'the truth'. Some people forget altogether, it seems, that Protestantism was a much later addition to Christianity on these shores and if we'd had a few different enmities and alliances, failures where there were successes and successes where there were failures, the majority here could be leading with a different foot now.

Enjoying isn't the right word but I still can't stop watching The Apprentice (uk version). It's physically exhausting to watch though, constant cringing for the better part of an hour.

 I know what you mean. The 'interesting' facts about Wembley Stadium were the best part.

I saw that too (first time I’d watched The Apprentice). That speech was the most cringe-making part, against some stiff competition.

Just watched the first episode of Gunpowder.
Was okay but comparing it to GoT is a joke.

the only reason people are comparing it to got is because of kit...the similarities stop there, apart from the emphasis on 'gory (for that time on the beeb) violence'...ok, the two main reasons are....;)
