i think paramount were just saving themselves the greater loss by selling it to netflix rather than facing box office losses...

i'll still watch, as my tolerance for shite is great anyway...and i know of at least one event in the film that ties in with the canon...

hopefully the ww2 one later in the year will be better...

hmmm...reading a lot about the general film being ok but then recut end edited to fit in with the cloverfield theme...

there are a lot of similarities to 'life' being mentioned - i'm wondering whether this is why the makers let it be appropriated by the cloverfield brand, in order to try and make it stand out a bit...doesn't sound like it's worked...
