Now, there's plenty that could be said about contradictory evidence (e.g. alternative witnesses like parents and mechanical explanations for memory like the brain) and invalid inferences, but I won't do that today. Instead, I'll just take it as read that the form of these arguments is acceptable to you. In this case I make the following two observations:
