Don't forget A Simple Plan, a depressing, but riveting, maelstrom of greed, guilt, and incompetent violence that touches on many of the themes the Coen brothers do in their work. What is it about Minnesota (where this one is set)? Is this film just a lame copycat? I don't think so. Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton bring their best.

Lance Henriksen, though technically he wasn't killed by the alien queen in aliens, even though he got ripped in half, coz he was an android.

I remember him still being alive/operational after being ripped in half. He caught and prevented Newt being sucked out the airlock in that condition. And you could see the hole in the ground his real body was in as he reached (not in later editions).

John Surtees aged 83
John Surtees, who died today with his wife Jane and daughters Leonora and Edwina by his bedside, was a fearless, tough but impeccably fair competitor, as quick as the best without being wild. No man is ever likely to emulate his feat of winning world championships on two wheels and four.

Always found it a bit strange that John Surtees was never as famous as you'd expect given his unique achievements. In my experience many British sports fans don't even know of him.
